What are macros in WoW? They are short “programs” that becomes part of your character’s macros. These are written in the macro interface and assign to buttons. You can either write character-specific macros or write macros which are available to all characters on your account. In general, spells casting macros and attacks should be set up as character-specific macros.
To trigger macros in wow, simply click on the buttons assigned to them. If the macros have been written properly and the actions can actually be taken, the actions you wrote into the macro will be executed automatically. However, to prevent you from automating your character’s battle entirely, there are of course limits to how many different actions can be written into a specific macro. Still, these small programs are highly useful.
Clicking on buttons with your mouse cursor to trigger spells and abilities is slow and mostly ineffective. Because your character may already be dead by the time you click.

Macros in wow help you can cast a series of spells or abilities faster and more certainly than your reflexes allow. Regardless of whether you are confused or distracted during a PvP battle, pressing the bound key for a macro causes your character to carry out the actions programmed into it automatically.
Employing warcraft macros is a step up from using keybindings and pressing hotkeys on your keyboard to cast spells. Your character’s success as a raider, PvP fighter, or arena team member will largely depend on the quality of your keybindings and macros.
One of the best wow macro guide and guide to keybindings is IWinButtons. This warcraft guide will give you all the information for all classes, talent specs, and potential roles you ever need, both in PvE and PvP action, to make powerful macros and use them effectively.
